Meet the Team
Keith Miller
Optometrist
Matthews Vision Care Tauranga
Keith qualified in Optometry in 1982 at Auckland University and spent the next five years working in New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
Settling in Tauranga, he developed an interest in preventing and improving vision problems, rather than purely compensating for poor sight. He is one of the few New Zealand graduates from the Optometric Extension Program Foundation (OEPF) Clinical Curriculum in Behavioural Optometry. This specialisation in all areas of vision has led to Visique Greerton becoming a referral centre for all aspects of learning-related vision problems.

Brenton Clark
Optometrist and owner
Matthews Vision Care Tauranga
Brenton graduated from Auckland University with a Science Degree in 1989 and his Optometry Degree in 1992. He worked in Nelson and Queensland (with locumships around New Zealand and Australia) before returning to New Zealand and settling in Tauranga in 1997. An interest in children's vision led him to embark on postgraduate training at the University of New South Wales where he completed a Graduate Certificate in 2007. He has also completed the OEPF Clinical Curriculum in Behavioural Optometry, and is a member of the Australian College of Behavioural Optometry (ACBO) and the Neuro-optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA).
Outside of work, Brenton enjoys reading, cooking, growing edibles and armchair cricket, with activities such as running, geocaching, Bokwa and biking keep him active.
Grace Su
Optometrist, BOptom(Hons) TPA
Matthews Vision Care Tauranga
Grace spent her childhood years in Gisborne and then later in Auckland before graduating with a Bachelor of Optometry with First Class honours.
Nostalgia from living coastal and a passion for regional healthcare led her to complete her final year placement in the same practice where she now works.
Grace places a strong emphasis on holistic care and providing a comprehensive examination. She has a special interest in dry eye management and myopia control. Grace is also fluent in Mandarin.
Outside the clinic, Grace enjoys cooking, home decor, and the weekly lazy Sunday brunch.
Russell
Dispensing Optician
Matthews Vision Care Tauranga
Russell originates from the UK and moved to NZ in 1993, settling in sunny Tauranga with his wife and daughter in 2012. In his spare time, he loves bush walking with the family and helping his daughter with dance.
He's partial to Thai or Turkish cuisine, and has been heard saying "you can't beat an iced coffee, or the occasional good whiskey, on these hot summer days".
Russell began his optical journey in 2015 and registered as a Dispensing Optician in 2020. He also serves on the ADONZ CE Committee and is currently the ADONZ treasurer.
Joining the team at Matthews Vision Care, where quality customer service is a priority, has been a real highlight. Helping customers with their visual needs and seeing the positive results firsthand is what he loves most.
Celeste Moffatt
Practice Lead
Matthews Vision Care Tauranga
Celeste and her partner re-located to Tauranga from Taupo. They love to spend family time at the beach, to go fishing or to get stuck into some art and craft. Their two children are now fully grown. Celestes continues to be a "Kiwi Mum" as she is an active Host in the Workaway program.
She enjoys food or drinks shared in the company of great friends and also the chance to explore new flavours. Celeste is passionate about is living life to the full! It is really important to her to maintain a sense of humour.
Of her role she says, 'I love seeing the near miracles that are performed on a daily basis. It's fantastic to watch people's lives being improved through the introduction of specialist services.'

Lisa is such an excellent fit for our team at Matthews Vision Care Tauranga. She has recently moved to Tauranga from Whakatane where she gained her Dispensing Optician qualification in 2011.
It is evident her previous experience in the optics industry means she has strong relationships with supplier representatives; this is resulting in some great fashion and function spectacle outcomes for our customers.
Nothing makes her happier than the satisfaction of a happy customer. Family plays a massive part in her life – she takes the greatest pleasure in hanging out with the grandkids, and supporting the Pollock super-stock team.
Lyn
Optical Receptionist

Lyn originally hails from the UK but has been living in NZ for 14 years. She loves travelling, spending time with friends, and walking. She also enjoys a good Indian or Chinese dish paired with a lovely rosé or sauvignon blanc.
Lyn and her husband have a 7 year old border collie cross whom they claim is the laziest sheepdog ever! He enjoys his daily walks but you'll most often find him sleeping or eating.
Lyn loves seeing people experience their ‘new vision’ when they get their new glasses and suddenly become aware how big a difference it makes. Her knowledge and experience helping customers with their vision is what makes her a great asset to our team
